I watched My Neighbor Totoro for the first time last night
And AWWWW.
Good lord that movie was cute. Watching people interact with fuzzy objects in Ghibli films is the best.
I also watched Kiki’s Delivery Service, which I personally found to be the better of the two movies, mostly because it had more plot to it. Which brings me to a problem I noticed in a mojority of the Ghibli films I watched: they never seem to expand on the plot enough. They often leave me wanting more, and not exactly in a good way. It’s just that… they don’t feel entirely complete to me. I’m not saying they’re bad films! They’re great fun to watch! I just wish sometimes that there was more to them.
Otherwise, both good films! Just… oh my gosh too cute.
